Mr. Raphael Kingsley St. Hill and Mr. Hubert James, the President and immediate past president respectively of the National Consumers Association (NCA)were active participants at the last BCH training workshop, held on the 21st and 22nd June 2012 in Saint Lucia. They were able to share the value of the NCA to fellow participants and as a result, some of the trainees signed up to be members of the association which seeks to ensure that consumers' rights are upheld in the country. The trainees were also encouraged to sign up friends and family to be part of the association. The aim of the association is to sign up at least one thousand financial members as soon as possible so that it could be more financially independent. It is hoped that this association will help spread the importance and usefulness of the BCH to its members and provide assistance in getting the Biosafety draft legislation enacted.
