Expertise also in synthetic biology, including genome editing techniques and risk assessment and regulatory aspects; genetic resources; conservation of species.

My duties include giving scientific advice and statements on biosafety, RA & RM of GMOs (assessment, frameworks, guidance), genetic resources, synthetic biology and species protection. I also have several international duties related to biosafety (EU, OECD, Cartagena biosafety protocol). In addition, I have international and national duties related to synthetic biology including risk assessment and regulatory aspects (SBSTTA and COP). Moreover, I have also some duties related to genetic resources.
