Immunological and DNA based detection methods have been developed for detection of cry1Ac protein. In the laboratory ELISA kits from Envirologix, USA is being used. The gene specific primers as designed and supplied by BREF IIT Kharagpur are being used. However, Central Institute of Cotton Research, Nagpur is the referral laboratory for the same.
