Dr Ana Atanassova is currently a Global Regulatory Manager for Research with BASF Agricultural Solutions Belgium NV. She holds a PhD in Life Sciences and MSc in Argicultural Engineering and has more than 15 years of experience working in agricultural biotechnology research and the regulation of genetically modified crops. Her areas of expertise include agricultural biotechnology, LMO risk assessment and risk management, contained use and environmental release of LMOs,  international LMO regulatory systems, and assessemnt of new technologies from regulatory perspective. She is a member of the Crop Life International Working Group on New Breeding technologies as well as participant in industry forums on RNAi ans synthetic biology.
