The ferredoxin:NADP+ oxidoreductase catalyses the oxidation of ferredoxin and has been shown to be part of the chloroplastic cytochrome b6f complex.

The ferredoxin:NADP+ oxidoreductase precursor contains a transit sequence which enables its transport into the chloroplasts.
