Brief description of the document including objective and scope:
The aim of this law is the coordination of agricultural and environmental policy regarding the prevention of undesired effects of genetically modified organisms. This includes the establishment of an advisory board for the coordination of gene technology precautionary aspects. Its task is to discuss and develop national strategies to ensure the GMO-free status regarding cultivation in Austria, taking into account directive (EU) 2015/412. In addition this law includes gene technology precautionary measures to be implemented in the respective legislation of the Austrian Federal States.
