The objective of this exercise was to test assumptions made in risk assessments concerning gene flow by pollen from the farm-scale evaluations and to ensure that the guidelines issued by the Supply Chain Initiative on Modified Agricultural Crops (SCIMAC) stipulate an effective separation distance for each of the crop types.
