NodZ is a glycosyltransferase that is essential for the
fucosylation (the process of adding fucose sugar units to a
molecule) of the terminal reducing N-acetylglucosamine residue.
NodZ is involved in the synthesis and secretion of signal
molecules, which are lipochitin oligosaccharides (LCOs).
