Brief description of the document including objective and scope:
The Ordinance on GMO-Registers prescribes the data which are contained in the "GMO-Register" has and the obligations of the Austrian Federal Länder regarding transmission of data to the Ministry of Health, Family and Youth in case of notifications for cultivation of GMOs within their territory. The "GMO-Register" (according to § 101c (1) and (2) of the Austrian Gene Technology Act) continuously lists products which have been approved under Directive 90/220/EEC, Directive 2001/18/EC, Regulation (EC) 258/97 and EU Regulation (EC) 1829/2003. Furthermore through the GMO register data concerning deliberate releases and/or cultivation of GMOs are made available to the public.

The ordinance lists GMO products which have been approved in the EU and in Austria and public data concerning the deliberate release and cultivation of GMOs in Austria
