Opening of the discussion on "Drafting proposals to address substantive revisions to the Guidance" [#7432]
Dear members of the AHTEG Sub-group,

Following our teleconference, I am pleased to inform that the "organization of work", "schedule of work" and background documents containing the text of the Guidance and comments for each section are all available for your next task at http://bch.cbd.int/onlineconferences/RA_ahteg_subgroup/

Please note that due to their large number, the documents were not attached to this message and MUST be downloaded from the page indicated above (http://bch.cbd.int/onlineconferences/RA_ahteg_subgroup/).

The first Cycle 1 (4 - 16 August) of the exercise starts immediately with the following distribution of work:

Francisca - Section 1 (pages 5-11)
Marja - Section 2 (pages 11-15)
Wei - Section 3 (pages 16-20)
Abisai - Section 4 (pages 22-32)
Angela - Section 5 (pages 33-60)

(note that the sections were divided taking into account the number of comments)

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any question.

We wish you good luck and look forward to your feedback!

Best wishes,
Manoela

RE: Opening of the discussion on "Drafting proposals to address substantive revisions to the Guidance" [#7435]
Dear Manoela,

thank you for the useful documents and guidance paper.

Could you please advise me to clarify the ID3 of the comments document. The text: "The problems set out in lines 1411 to1423 are not explained in a way that illustrates how to address them. In this sense, we could say that for this type of LMO in which the temporal scale is too large to determine the risks, it would be relevant to propose biological scenario modeling strategies and systems, in order to determine ecological dynamics that will allow for the identification of potential risks" - it  seems to be a wrong location (not tree document), or a wrong line nr.
I could not find this comment in the original document of comments.
Thank you.
Best,
Angela

RE: Opening of the discussion on "Drafting proposals to address substantive revisions to the Guidance" [#7439]
Dear Angela,

Many thanks for pointing out this discrepancy and my apologies for taking long to reply.

The apparent error in the lines numbers is due to the fact that the original comment was done based on the line numbers of the Spanish. In this case, the line numbers indicated in the comment correspond to the line numbers 1260-1270 of the English version (LM Tree section).

The numbers have been corrected in the Excel file containing the comments for section 5 of the Guidance.

Thank you very much for your hard work!

Best regards,
Manoela

RE: Opening of the discussion on "Drafting proposals to address substantive revisions to the Guidance" [#7438]
Dear all,
Please find enclosed my comments on the text (sorry for the delay, especially Fran!). Some clarifications: I have considered all comments, even if you do not find a reference to them. I only did yes and no notes manually in the exel: for my personal use and thus no exel attached here. I will send an additional word memo tomorrow on some issues that I think we need to discuss.
Warm wishes,
Marja

RE: Opening of the discussion on "Drafting proposals to address substantive revisions to the Guidance" [#7445]
Dear Colleagues,

Here comes my version on section 3. Sorry for the delay. I could only find limited time.

Some comments I thought could be good for revision, however, when I came to the exact text, I realized that some original text is the best one. I also provide several comments in the excel file and highlighted why I did not make change.

Thanks

RE: Opening of the discussion on "Drafting proposals to address substantive revisions to the Guidance" [#7447]
Dear Marja, Wei, Angela, Abisai, Manoela, Dina,
I am submitting the comments on section 2.
I hope they are understandable…….what I did was comment on the majority of comments put by Marja in section 2…..and when there was not a comment but actual text I commented over that text, and sometimes commented on some words that were eliminated as well.
Did not work in an excel this time around.
Un abrazo a todos!!!!!
