According to
decision BS-V/14, the second regular national report is to be submitted to the Secretariat,
no later than 30th September 2011, in an official language of the United Nations through the BCH.
Parties are encouraged to respond to all questions in the reporting form. Complete information is required for the establishment of baseline data for the subsequent assessment and review processes of the Protocol as well as to measure progress in the implementation of the Biosafety Strategic Plan.
Parties may first wish to download the offline reporting form to gather and organize information (
step 1). It is recommended that Parties prepare their reports through a consultative process involving all relevant stakeholders, as appropriate (
step 2). BCH National Focal Points should then fill out and submit the
online form through the BCH (
step 3).
Note: BCH National Focal Points with
limited Internet access may submit the completed offline form in MS Word format directly to the Secretariat, as an attachment to an e-mail together with a scanned copy of the first signed page.
