Capacity building and training on risk assessment

Capacity building in risk assessment of LMOs is one of the focal areas of the Strategic Plan for the implementation of the Protocol which objective is to enable Parties to evaluate, apply, share and carry out risk assessments and establish local science-based capacities to regulate, manage, monitor and control risks of LMOs.

Our current programme of work in capacity building and training on risk assessment is guided by the Parties' decisions BS-IV/11 and BS-V/12 which have called for the development of a training material and an e-learning training tool, as well as for (sub-)regional training courses .
