Responsibilities
Ministry of Health and Medical Education (MOH) is responsible for the issuance, renewal and  revocation of any license under Article 4 & 5 of the Biosafety Law on Living Modified Organisms related to foods, cosmetics, health, medical material and human pathogens.
Also, MOH is responsible for protection of human health and evaluation of the risk assessment of living modified organisms that are used as food.
Identification and taking required measures for living modified organisms that directly or indirectly are pathogenic to humans, are under the responsibility of Ministry of Health and Medical Education.
