Prof. Dr. Pham Van Toan is a former director of office for biotechnology programme in the agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture & Rural Development (MARD) from 2006-2011 and now he is deputy director general of Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Sciences (VAAS).
Education: 1982-1990, graduated and postgraduated at Humboldt University of Berlin (HUB), Germany.
Professional duties: Member of scientific committee of VAAS; Member of Biosafety committee  of  MONRE; Member of food, feed safety committee of MARD; Vietnam Coodinator of  biofertilizer project coodinated by Forum of Nuclear Cooperation in Asia (FNCA).
Publications: Author and co-author of over 50 publications in national and international journals or conferences; 12 standards on the field of Microbiology, Biofertilizer and Decree, Circulars related to Biotechnology R-D and biosafety of GMO, GMO products.
