Donor organism
Pseudomonas chlororaphis - PSECL
Characteristics of the protein coding sequence
Name of the protein expressed by the coding sequence
1-amino-cyclopropane-1-arboxylic acid deaminase
Biological function
The ACCD gene encodes the enzyme ACCD. In the plant, this enzyme catalyzes metabolism of 1-amino-cyclopropane-1-arboxylic acid (ACC), an essential precursor for the biosynthesis of the plant hormone ethylene.
