Responsible for regulating and monitoring the movement and use of GMOs and products thereof in the country as well as the issuing of import and export permits for such products.
Certain specific information on GMOs in the area of medical and veterinary research are lodged with the line institutions/departments. However, these could be obtained easily as these Departments are part of the National Biosafety Committee.
