The objective of this subsidiary legislation is to lay down measures for the contained use of genetically modified micro-organisms with a view to protecting human health and the environment.
Its scope is to outline the risk assessment procedure that should be followed to determine which containment level is necessary and into which classification category the GMM and the proposed activity falls under.
