Interoperability with the BCH (video)

  23 Nov 2021

Interoperability refers to the sharing of data between a country’s national BCH and the BCH website maintained by the Secretariat. Information that is registered in the BCH can automatically appear in a country’s national BCH.

In the past, the Ajax Plug-In was one of the national website tools used to display published BCH content on national websites. It has been replaced with the Embed feature which is accessible through the Share button in Search.

The Share button can be found in two distinct locations:

  1. At the top-right of the main Search page: clicking on the Share button at this location allows you to share the entire search results. All global filters and sub-filters you select will be represented in the URL, email, or embed that you share.
  2. At the top-right of a published record: clicking on the Share button at this location allows you to share this particular record.

HOW TO EMBED RECORDS:

  1. Click on the Share button.
  2. Click on the “Embed” option and type the domain where you intend to embed the page. Then click on Generate code. A script will be generated and displayed in the same pop-up box.
  3. Click on the Copy button and paste the script where you wish to embed the content.

Important Note: Whenever a new record is published, the embedded page on your national website will be updated automatically.
