Among these, the FAO Working Group on Biosafety is responsible for two of FAO’s Priority Areas for Interdisciplinary Action (PAIAs), namely “Biosecurity for Agriculture” and “Food Production and Biotechnology Applications in Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry”.
