Acute oral mouse toxicity study of AMY797E alpha amylase and PMI protein showed no toxicity to mice
Corn is not typically consumed for specific nutrients. Based on the data taken from the studies conducted to determine the effect of transformation with the AMY797E alpha amylase and PMI proteins as expressed in corn Event 3272 on grain and forage, it was concluded that corn Event 3272 is substantially equivalent in composition to other commercial hybrids.

Expression of the amy797E and pmi gene in transformed plants does not adversely affect plant morphology, growth nor agronomic characteristics, no changes in glycoproteins profiles, and no differences levels in sucrose, glucose or fructose were observed. Both AMY797E and PMI proteins have no significant homology with known toxins or putative allergens.
EN
Corn Event 3272 is as safe as its conventional counterpart and does not pose any significant risk to animal and human health.
EN
A biosafety permit for Corn 3272 and all progenies derived from crosses of the product with any conventionally-bred corn and corn containing approved-biotech events for direct use as food, feed and for processing was issued to Syngenta Philippines Inc. Corn Event 3272 is found to be as safe as its conventional counterpart and does not pose any significant risk to human and animal health.
