Ministry of Agriculture Development (Ministerio de Desarrollo Agropecuario, MIDA) is responsible for the generation of information referred to Living Modified Organisms and technologies that could affect the farming production systems in the national territory of Panama, as well as to elaborate and to fulfill the laws, decrees and regulations on biosafety and biotechnology related to the farming sector, it will correspond to him to maintain updated the information about farming sector in the National center of Exchange Information on Biosafety.
