Détails de l’évaluation des risques
  • MON-87427-7 × MON-89Ø34-3 × DAS-Ø15Ø7-1 × MON-87411-9 × DAS-59122-7 × DAS-4Ø278-9 - Insect resistant, herbicide tolerant maize
    | Monsanto | Résistance aux maladies et aux parasites (Insectes, Coléoptères, Chenille tisseuse (papillons et mites)), Résistance aux herbicides (Glufosinate, Glyphosate), Tolerance to 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid, Tolerance to aryloxyphenoxypropionate
The corn MON-87427-7 x MON-89034-3 x DAS-01507-1 x MON-87411-9 x DAS-59122-7 x DAS-40278-9, object of this request to CTNBio for commercial release, is the result of classic crosses between maize varieties that contain each of the events alone. All events have already been individually released for commercial use in Brazil, in addition to participating in other combined, less complex events that have also gone through commercial release processes and are in use in Brazil. This composite event was cleared for cultivation and food or feed in Canada in 2017; for human consumption was released in Mexico in 2018.

Méthode et points à examiner
The analysis of the agronomic data obtained shows that there is no morphological, agronomic or reproductive difference between MON-87427-7 × MON-89034-3 × DAS-01507-1 × MON-87411-9 × DAS-59122-7 × DAS40278 corn -9 and its conventional counterpart. Thus, analyzing the different types of data obtained, it can be concluded that there is no evidence that the genes cp4 epsps, cry1A.105, cry2Ab2, cry1F, pat, cry3Bb1, DvSnJ7, cry34Ab1, cry35Ab1 and aad-1, present in the maize MON-87427-7 × MON-89034-3 × DAS-01507-1 × MON-87411-9 × DAS-59122-7 × DAS40278-9, show interactions that may cause adverse effects to human or animal health.

The food biosecurity of MON-87427-7 x MON-89034-3 x DAS01507-1 x MON-87411-9 x DAS-59122-7 x DAS-40278-9 corn was demonstrated by the studies carried out and the absence of adverse effects of singular events in human and animal health indicated that there is no need to test hypotheses of the existence of deleterious effects or teratogenic potential in pregnant animals.
EN
There are no additional risks to humans and animals that may result from the consumption of MON-87427-7 × MON-89034-3 × DAS-01507-1 × MON87411-9 × DAS-59122-7 × DAS-40278-9 maize.

Proteins Cry1A.105, Cry2Ab2, Cry1F, Cry3Bb1, Cry34Ab1, Cry35Ab1, PAT, CP4 EPSPS and AAD-1, from maize MON-87427-7 x MON-89034-3 x DAS-01507-1 x MON-87411-9 x DAS-59122-7 x DAS-40278-9 do not originate from allergenic sources, do not have structural similarity to known allergenic substances, are rapidly digested in simulated gastric fluid and represent a very small amount of the total protein in the grain of the corn MON-87427-7 x MON-89034-3 x DAS-01507-1 x MON-87411-9 x DAS-59122-7 x DAS-40278-9. It follows from this evidence that it is
unlikely that the proteins Cry1A.105, Cry2Ab2, Cry1F, Cry3Bb1, Cry34Ab1, Cry35Ab1, PAT, CP4 EPSPS and AAD-1 have any potential for allergenicity, and that, therefore, maize MON-87427-7 x MON-89034-3 x DAS-01507-1 x MON-87411-9 x DAS- 59122-7 x DAS-40278-9, is as safe as conventional non-GMO corn in terms of risk of being allergenic.

The results of studies carried out in Brazil and in other countries and information referenced by the scientific literature allow us to conclude that corn MON-87427-7 × MON89034-3 × DAS-01507-1 × MON-87411-9 × DAS-59122-7 × DAS-40278-9 has no greater potential to have adverse effects on human health and animal when compared to conventional corn. MON-87427-7 × MON-89034-3 × DAS-01507-1 × MON-87411-9 × DAS-59122-7 × DAS-40278-9 corn is considered not to potentially cause harm to human health and animal, being as safe for these purposes as conventional corn.

MON-87427-7 × MON-89034-3 × DAS-01507-1 × MON-87411-9 × DAS-59122-7 × DAS-40278-9 corn does not potentially cause harm to human and animal health. as safe for these purposes as conventional corn.

MON-87427-7 × MON-89034-3 × DAS01507-1 × MON-87411-9 × DAS-59122-7 × DAS-40278-9 corn is as safe as its conventional equivalents for human or animal consumption. and there should be no restrictions on the following uses of its grains or derivatives: handling, transport, transfer, commercialization, import, export, storage, consumption and disposal.
