Maize event MON87460 has been genetically modified to express Cold shock protein B (CSPB) which provide tolerate cultivation under waterlimited conditions (drought tolerant).According to the existing scientific data and information available during the safety assessment, it is concluded that the maize event MON87460 is substantially equivalent to its counterpart and safe to use as food refer toxicity and allergenicity assessment. There is no indication that protein derived from MON87460 corn are toxins and can be allergen.
