Question2: What are “socio-economic considerations arising from the impact of LMOs on the conservation and sustainable use of biological diversity”? What is your understanding of the wording “arising from the impact” ?

Dear all,
In my opinion, the wording stated in Article 26 “socio-economic considerations arising from the impact of LMOs on the conservation and sustainable use of biological diversity” means considering what and how much impact of LMOs on the conservation and sustainable use of biological diversity effects on society and/or economic of people in specific areas and/or local community and/or country in overall which shall include impacts on livelihood, life quality, traditional knowledge, as well as aesthetic value of conserved and sustainable used biodiversity.
Hence the conservation and sustainable use of biological diversity will be firstly considered as direct impact of LMOs. Then, loss or change of biological diversity conservation and sustainable use will be considered whether it may or may not effect on socio-economic as described above . So, if determine along with Article 26 of the Protocol, socio-economic is indirect impact of LMOs.
