Progress Map

The progress map is a monitoring mechanism to ensure that Parties implement the programme of work on public awareness, education and participation regarding LMOs and its priority areas on a regular basis. Under priority area 1 of the programme of work, Parties are recommended to every quarter, systematically track, evaluate and proactively exchange information on the progress of the indicators in the programme of work in the Biosafety Clearing-House and with the Executive Secretary. Moderators of the online discussion on public awareness regarding LMOs also recommended the a monitoring mechanisms to be set up for the programme of work. In this regard, the Secretariat has established a progress map, in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme, to track and monitor progress.

Governments are welcome to send a message to ulrika.nilsson@cbd.int or secretariat@cbd.int for any updates on the map.
