comments Piet van der Meer on the roadmap [#1619]
14 March 210

Dear Hans,

Greetings from Cairo.

Thanks for this new draft and I am again grateful for your dedication and stamina.

Overall my feeling is that the text of the roadmap has much improved, and that much of what needs to be in there is there.

I hope that in the time to come we can focus on the text itself, because I believe that needs to be made simpler and more concrete to serve as practical guidance.

My concerns are that some parts are duplicative, some parts are too dense because of the legal speak (‘as appropriate’), some parts - such as the piece on uncertainty are too academic, and some parts make RA look unnecessary complicated.  Further, some of the introductory stuff about the process followed by the AHTEG could be moved to the introductory letter to MOP.

In short, I believe that our next round of work needs to be one of clean up, and I have made some suggestions as track changes.

Cheers

Piet
