Representatives and biosafety experts from Bangladesh, India, Mongolia and the Philippines met in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, from 6–10 July 2026 for a UNEP-GEF multi-country workshop under Project GEF ID 10991. The workshop provided an opportunity to review progress in implementing National Biosafety Frameworks, exchange experiences, discuss technical and implementation issues, and review the use of the Biosafety Clearing-House (BCH) to support implementation of the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety.
