Risk Assessment and Risk Management of Transgenic Fish [#754]
The risk assessment of transgenic fish is to deal with the uncertainties associated with it in order that decisions may be made in full consideraion of potential consequencies in handling ,tranfer and the use of it, both to the evironment and human health .
The risk assessment of transgenic fish should be centered on the following considerations:
-Toxicity
-allergenicity
-The genetic construct
-impact on other organisms in the environment, fish inclusive .
For effective management of trangenic fish ,there should be phynotipic maker gene trnsfered in it, for easy of identification and withdrawal from the environment in the event there are identified later adverse effecfs associated with the trangenic  fish.
