These guidelines focus on a science-based risk assessment of agriculture-related GMOs and provide a common framework for ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Member Countries to undertake risk assessment of agriculture-related GMOs. Issues such as compensation and liability, labeling, socio-economic and religious factors would not be covered under the Guidelines.
