- Enterobacteria phage T3
Bacteriophages, like bacteria, are very common in all natural environments and are directly related to the numbers of bacteria present. They are thus very common in soil and have shaped the evolution of bacteria.
Enterobacteria phage T3 is a bacteriophage that infects Escherichia coli bacteria. It is in the genus T7-like Phages, of the family podoviridae (characterized by short, non-contractile tails).
