Additional Information
In commercial agroforestry, Eucalyptus grandis × Eucalyptus urophylla are increasingly used in plantations as clones. It demonstrates better stress tolerance and faster growth compared to either parent. The hybrid also demonstrates coppicing ability and desirable wood characteristics. Due to its tolerance to stem canker caused by Cryphonectria cubensis, it became an important tree for agroforestry in Brazil.  The hybrid tree is used for timber and pulp production. The wood can also be used for the production of charcoal and the mulch can be used as a fuel source.
