The renewal authorisation does not cover cultivation and pollen which is under the scope of Commission Implementing Decision 2013/649.
An event-specific method for the quantitation of maize MON 810 by means of real-time PCR has been validated in a collaborative trial by the Germany Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) and verified by the European Union Reference Laboratory for GM Food and Feed (EURL GMFF) at the Joint Research Centre
(JRC) of the European Commission (EC). The detection method is available at http://gmo-crl.jrc.ec.europa.eu/StatusOfDossiers.aspx.
