The heat shock protein 18.2 terminator directs the termination of transcription and poly-adenylation of the nascent transcript. The terminator was also shown to increase gene expression of linked sequences. In a comparison with the Agrobacterium tumefaciens nopaline synthase terminator, transgene mRNA levels were over two-fold higher with the heat shock protein 18.2 terminator.
