The synthetic intron GSI102 was derived from several intron sequences from Arabidopsis thaliana. The synthetic intron enhances expression of linked sequences, except in floral tissues. The level of enhancement may also vary between different tissues (e.g., high level of enhancement in leaf tissues). The attached patent indicated that the intron sequence is properly processed (spliced out).
