EN
Basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factor involved in brassinosteroid-responsive gene regulation. Regulates the expression of target genes through binding to E-box DNA motifs (CANNTG) and participates in signaling pathways associated with plant growth, development, and immune regulation.
EN
The increased expression of StCHL1 is associated with the suppression of plant immune responses, thereby increasing susceptibility to late blight caused by Phytophthora infestans. Knockdown of StCHL1 transcripts showed that loss-of-function mutations in StCHL1 confer increased resistance to P. infestans without affecting plant development.
