EN
No significant adverse effects: g. PAT protein encoded by the bar gene has no homology to any other gene or known allergens or toxins h. Corn plants contain low concentration of PAT proteins and because of its sensitivity to heat and to pH, no adverse effects are expected.
EN
The bar gene which was introduced to DLL25 or B16 encodes the enzyme phosphinotricin acetyltransferase (PAT) is non pathogenic to plants, animals and man. PAT protein is unlikely to be an allergen.
EN
Corn DLL 25 is comparable with its conventional counterpart and will not pose any significant risk through consumption by both animals (for feed) and humans (for food).
EN
A biosafety permit for Corn DLL 25 and all progenies derived from crosses of the product with any conventionally-bred corn and corn containing approved-biotech events for direct use as food, feed or for processing was issued to Monsanto Philippines, Inc.
EN
Corn DLL 25 is found to be as safe as its conventional counterpart and does not pose any significant risk to human and animal health.
EN
This LMO will be directly used for food, feed and for processing. This application is not for propagation of Corn DLL 25.
EN
Quantitative diagnostic lateral flow strips, ELISA and PCR for routine quantitative and semi-quantitative detection of transgenes. For higher sensitivity, real-time PCR.
