The Seventeenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity, the Twelfth meeting of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety, and the Sixth meeting of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits Arising from their Utilization (the Meetings) will be held in Yerevan, Armenia  from 19 to 30 October 2026.

The Secretariat would like to take this opportunity to express its sincere appreciation to the Government of Armenia for its leadership and looks forward to working closely with the host country officials, as well as the Bureau of the Conference of the Parties, to ensure the smooth preparation of the Meetings. 

These Meetings will also collectively be known as the “UN Biodiversity Conference 2026”. Further information on the agenda and other logistical arrangements will be communicated in due course.
