LMO micro-organism, foods, agro-biodiversity, algae, fish are the crucial for Indigenous Peoples, local communities, women, youth and person with disabilities for their traditional way of life, good and health systems and relationship with Mother Earth and Nature. Many beneficial micro organisms are practiced from Indigenous communities for their foods systems, farming practices and use for health as traditional knowledge, customary and bicultural systems. Algae is one of the main sources for indigenous peoples, local communities, women, fish and agrobiodiversity are the key components of biodiversity deeply rooted for their traditional occupations, economic, socio-cultural and ethical system for survival and reciprocal systems with ecosystems, nature as whole. Modern science and technology and the new and emerging issues bringing adverse impacts on biodiversity loss, ecosystem disfunction, ecological imbalance, transgenic effects, food and water insecurities and other effects.
IPLCs always seeks a robust regulatory framework, precautionary approach with the principles of Free, Prior and Informed Consent, full and effective participation, Socio-economic, culture and Ethical consideration Article 26 of the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety, Article 8(g), 19.3, Article 8j and 10c of the Convention, KMBG target 17, 21, 3 ITT
