Soybean event MON87701 has been genetically modified to express Bt-toxin (Cry1Ac protein) which confers protection against certain lepidopteran pests.According to the existing scientific data and information available during the safety assessment, it is concluded that the soybean event MON 87701 is as safe as its conventional counterpart for food uses.
