Dear All, 

Many thanks to all of you who have actively participated in the discussion and provided valuable comments for improving the Guidance on Risk Assessment of LMOs. This discussion is now closed. 

In continuing this process, the AHTEG Chair in consultation with the Bureau and Secretariat will consolidate your comments into a revised version of the Guidance to be circulated on 12 September (tentatively). 

In parallel, the AHTEG Sub-working groups are developing the first drafts of the new guidance on “Monitoring and long-term effects of LMOs released into the environment” and “Risk assessment of LM trees”. These two drafts will be circulated on 29 August in preparation for an online discussion from 5 to 16 September 2011 in which you are all invited to participate. Additional information on these discussions will be sent in the coming weeks.
