Dear BCH users,

Happy New Year!

We hope you had a nice break over the holidays despite the current situation with the pandemic!

Now, back to business (as the expression goes).

We are back to working on the development and testing of the new BCH platform.

We are starting the year with asking you to test a simple, and last, online format of Phase II, that is called "Country Profiles for Biosafety Clearing-House (BCP)".

FOR WHOM: This test is for national users only: BCH FPs, CPB FPs and NAUs.

TEST ASSIGNMNET:

1. Log in to https://bch.cbddev.xyz/register.
2. Using the BCP online format, create or update the information on your Country Profile page. Please keep in mind that if there is already a BCP profile for your government, the system should not allow you to create a new one!!!
3. Find your record in Search.
4. Examine the display of information (changes made) on Country Profile page.
5. Optional: repeat the steps above.

Please note that the information you will see in the dev. site and for your government is the information that has been migrated from the current BCH. However, whatever you edit, create in the test site will not affect your Country Profile page in the current BCH. In the future, we will be migrating data again to the final version of the new BCH, and all test data will be removed. So, don't be afraid to experiment!

DEADLINE: Please send us your feedback and comments by Friday  - January 29th.

PS Small disclaimer. In the video, I keep on calling the BCP "format" a "profile". What I mean to say is that you update the profile by using the BCP format. So "format" is a more accurate term. I apologize if there is any confusion.

I did the editing of our BCH country profile and it worked fine.
The only problem was that if I tried to access information through the Search or Country profiles it too long to load the files.
When I entered it through the Dashboard it was fine and the changes made were reflected in the latest version of the document.

Thank you for testing this format.

To address the issue of why the loading of CP and Search page was slow on your side, can you please describe the steps you took (we will try to reproduce them) and maybe please send us some screen shots if you get any messages.

I went through the test on the "Country Profiles for Biosafety Clearing-House (BCP)" records. The format worked fine.

Dear Anastasia,

Unfortunately, I encountered the same or a similar problem as Nikolay is describing in post #11009. If I try to open a specific Country profile from the drop-down list by writing the name in the free-text field and then clicking on the country´s name, the database won´t forward to the specific data set. The database solely says “Loading files from server…”.

My problem was exactly the same. On the other hand everything was fine when I tried to access the information through the Dashboard all was fine.
