The Program for Biosafety Systems (PBS) supports partner countries as they develop their policy and legal frameworks; regulatory procedures; the capacity to ensure technically qualified personnel are available; and, that suitable outreach mechanisms are part of national biosafety systems. PBS work emphasizes sound science-based decision making and research, while also addressing socioeconomic considerations.
