The research fields of the laboratory focus on:
- the development of novel detection methods of LMOs products, including qualitative and quantitative PCR and ELISA, etc;
- the identification and validation of endogenous reference genes; and
- the development of novel reference molecules.
The laboratory is responsible for maintaining the GMO Detection Method Database, which aims to provide detailed information on LMO detection methods and genetic elements, with the goal to develop and standardize LMO detection methods.
