KIPABiC is a non-profit organization, established on 23 November 2021 under Article 32 of the Civil Law of the Republic of Korea. KIPABiC promotes biosafety capacity building through multi-country cooperation with a focus on the Asian Region.
It is supported by Korea Biosafety Clearing House (KBCH) and the Ministry of Trade Industry and Energy (MOTIE) of the Republic of Korea to sustain the initiatives under Asia Biosafety Family (erstwhile known as Asia BCH Family) and work with the United National Environment Programme (UNEP) as a project implementing partner for the Global Environment Facility (GEF) Multi-country Project (10991).
