TC1507 × DAS-59122-7 corn was obtained by traditional genetic improvement methods, by crossing DAS-59122-7 corn progenies with TC1507 corn progenies, so that the inserts present in the parents were inherited by TC1507 × corn DAS-59122-7.
Data from environmental assessment studies show that the introduction of single events TC1507 and DAS-59122-7 in the combined event TC1507 × DAS-59122-7, in maize adapted to Brazilian abiotic and biotic conditions, did not cause adverse effects on morphology, physiology, reproductive traits, form of plant dissemination, response to the main
pathogens, survival traits, except altering the response of plants to control insect pests in the shoots and roots of maize.

It was demonstrated, in an experiment carried out in Brazil with TC1507 × DAS-59122-7 corn, as well as with the single components TC1507 and DAS-59122-7, that corn plants with these events are similar to conventional corn, therefore with substantial equivalence. This equivalence of biological and ecological characteristics of TC1507 × DAS-59122-7 corn with conventional corn indicates the absence of new attributes for persistence and invasiveness in the natural environment of transformed corn.
CTNBio concluded that TC1507 x DAS-59122-7 maize is not a potential cause of significant environmental degradation, keeping a similar relationship with the biota to conventional maize.
The levels of proteins Cry1F, Cry34Ab1, Cry35Ab1 and PAT were determined in samples of pollen, leaves, forage, whole plant and grains cultivated in planned releases carried out in regions in Brazil and no statistically significant differences were observed between the average concentrations of protein Cry1F, Cry34Ab1, Cry35Ab1 and PAT in samples of leaves, plants, forages and grains derived from corns TC1507, DAS-59122-7 and TC1507 x DAS-59122- 7.
The results of these studies demonstrate that the introduction of single events TC1507 and DAS-59122-7 in the combined event TC1507 × DAS-59122-7 through classical crosses in maize adapted to Brazilian abiotic and biotic conditions did not cause adverse effects on morphology, physiology, reproductive characteristics, form of plant dissemination, response to the main pathogens, survival characteristics, except changing the response of plants to control insect pests in the shoots and roots of corn.
Unexpected effects arising from unforeseen interactions were not identified when combining, by conventional crossing, the events, TC1507 and DAS-59122-7.
CTNBio concluded that TC1507 x DAS-59122-7 maize is not a potential cause of significant environmental degradation, keeping a similar relationship with the biota to conventional maize.
