Sustainability of biosafety capacity-building initiatives [#3082]
The independent evaluation observed that the omission of sustainability measures in the Action Plan somehow compromised the long-term impact of its implementation. In this regard, the draft evaluation report recommends that sustainability measures should be included in the reference tool (the Strategic Framework for Capacity-Building under the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety) so that Parties would have concrete sustainability guidelines they could take into account in the design and implementation of biosafety capacity-building initiatives.

In your view, what practical sustainability measures or guidelines could be incorporated in the Strategic Framework and would they be applied to make a real difference?
