  • SYN-ØØØH2-5 - Soy modified for tolerance to Mesotrione and Glufosinate
    | Syngenta Seeds GmbH, Bayer CropScience LP | Resistance to herbicides (Glufosinate), Resistance to Mesotrione
Soybean event SYHT0H2 has been genetically modified to express AvHPPD-03 protein (p-hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase) which confers tolerance to mesotrione herbicide and enzyme phosphinothricin N-acetyl transferase (PAT) which confers tolerance to glufosinate-ammonium herbicide. PAT protein used as a selectable marker enabling identification of transformed plant cells as well as a source of resistance to the herbicide known as glufosinate ammonium. According to the existing scientific data and information available during the safety assessment, it is concluded that the soybean event SYHT0H2 is substantially equivalent to its conventional counterpart in terms of morphology, nutrition, toxicity and allergenicity.
