Survey on the Programme of Work on Public Awareness, Education and Participation Concerning LMOs

When adopting the Programme of Work through decision decision BS-V/13 the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Cartagena Protocol decided to review the Programme of Work at its eighth meeting in the light of experiences gained by Parties. The review was based on information provided in the third national reports and on information provided through a dedicated survey. The Secretariat issued a notification inviting Parties, other Governments and relevant organizations to take part in the survey to gather information corresponding to indicators in the Programme of Work that could not be obtained from the third national reports and to facilitate an assessment of the level of implementation of Article 23 of the Cartagena Protocol.
