The first biosafety commitment on the Sharm El-Sheikh to Kunming Action Agenda for Nature and People [#10973]
Dear participants of the online forum on public awareness, education and participation regarding LMOs,

The first biosafety commitment is available on the Sharm El-Sheikh to Kunming Action Agenda for Nature and People, an online platform that invites positive action in support of nature in line with the Global Biodiversity Framework to be adopted in 2021, at https://www.cbd.int/action-agenda/

The Every Woman Hope Centre (EWHC) will mainly mobilize strategic plans and actions, for public awareness purposes on biosafety or biodiversity, as well as facilitate awareness-raising activities to disseminate adequate information on implementation strategies. In an upcoming webinar for biosafety-specific commitments in 2020, EWHC will foster communication that will ensure that by 2025, people are aware of the meaning and values of biosafety and biodiversity as well as the steps they can take to use it sustainably. Please read more on the measurable progress and action at https://www.cbd.int/action-agenda/contributions/action/?action-id=5f486c36b704c80001b000db

We call for further commitments from the biosafety non-state actors or a private-private initiative at https://www.cbd.int/action-agenda/contribute/

We will be aiming to profile the biosafety commitments online, in our social media platforms and in events to highlight biosafety issues among many stakeholders and among biodiversity community.

Best regards,
Ulrika
