Drafting outline sample preparation
[#8069]
Dear Participants of the Forum,
I am pleased to welcome you to the next round of follow up online discussions.
As indicated in the report of the meeting and based on our previous discussion from 9-23 May on the topic of "Sharing of knowledge and experience on sample preparation" a draft outline has been prepared on the topic.
This represents a chapter of the training manual that the Secretariat has been preparing in response to the requests of the workshop of Network on detection and identification of LMOs.
Dina is going to share it here on the discussion page
I would like to invite you to read it and post you comments
Please feel free to post any relevant material on the matter, especially your experiences with sample preparation of different matrices or questions so that others that may have this information available can share it with the group.
Thank you in advance

Hallo again,
I just would like to remind you that this forum is going to close soon
Please do not hesitate to ask and comment
Thank you Dina preparing this document
As I see this is mainly focused on grains
It would be nice to get more info about preparing leave samples and complex matrices
About the grains I also I have a questions:
about the size of the particals after grinding_ are there any recomendation about it?
If I remember correct during the workshop it was mentioned that the size is important in some matrices biger particals leed to less DNA

On behalf of the moderator, we would like to thank you for your kind attention and inform you that this forum is now closed. As mentioned in the discussion, the scope of some sections of the chapter will be expanded, as appropriate, to include some information on about preparing leave samples and complex matrices. This will be carried out in collaboration with the moderator and the final document will be posted on the CEE workshop website in the near future.
We would like to invite you to continue collaborating with us in commenting on the next round of discussions on extraction procedures, which is available at
